Cake in the form of a doll dress is suitable for the holiday of the girl. You can use any doll, the main thing is that the cake dress completely covers her legs to the waist. My doll is about 30 cm tall. D-based "dresses" can use cakes such as biscuit or honey.
I prefer biscuit cakes, because they are light and delicate, require less time for making and baking cakes than multilayer cakes with 8-10 cakes.
For biscuit you need:
  • Eggs - 6 pcs.;
  • Sugar - 240 g;
  • Flour - 150 g;

For cream:
  • - Mascarpone cheese 300 g;
  • sugar to taste;
  • egg 1 pc.;
  • prune 100 g

Syrup for washing:
  • water - 10 tbsp. l;
  • sugar 4 tbsp. l;
  • essence.
  • For protein cream:
  • egg whites - 2 pcs.;
  • sugar - 8 tbsp. l;
  • water for cooking syrup.

So, to form a domed doll dress, you need to bake a biscuit in a similar form. I have a cake pan on the farm with a hole in the middle, and I used it.

She baked a biscuit in two steps, and then she cut and collected the desired shape, imitating the skirt of the dress.
Cooking sponge base
To prepare the dough in one form, take 3 eggs and divide them into proteins and yolks.

Beat the proteins in a lush foam, and then add 60 g of sugar and continue to beat until a dense steady state.

Add 60 g of sugar to the yolks and beat until a thick mass of light yellow color, using a mixer.

Now we transfer 2/3 of the proteins to the yolks and gently combine.

Sift 75 g of flour and gradually add to the egg mass, mix gently with a spatula.
Put the remaining proteins with sugar into the dough and stir.

Pour the dough into a mold and bake a biscuit at a temperature of 180 C until cooked for about 35-40 minutes.

Similarly, make a second biscuit.
Now we cut each piece into 3-4 cakes.
Syrup for washing.
To prepare the syrup, pour sugar into a container, add water in a 1: 2 ratio and bring the liquid to a boil. After this, the syrup must be cooled and added to it the essence or rum.
Soak each cake with syrup.
Cream making
For cream, we combine mascarpone cheese, egg and sugar to taste in a mixer bowl. If desired, condensed milk can also be included in the cream.
I also put prunes in the cream, but you can use other dried fruits or fruits as desired.
Beat the cream until smooth.

Assembly of the cake.
To assemble the cake and obtain a high shape, put one cake from each piece.

If the house has another more suitable form for baking this cake, then you can safely use it.
In the absence of a spherical shape, you can bake a biscuit, then cut it into squares with a side length of 2-3 cm, spread in layers and spread with cream.
The doll needs to be wrapped with film or foil. The hole in the center of my form is quite large, but in the process I fill it with scraps from biscuit when I form the future doll dress.
Cake decoration
When all the cakes are smeared and assembled, insert the doll, take the knife and align the cake, cutting off the excess, trying to give it a uniform shape from all sides.

Top the cake with the rest of the cream. Mix the scraps with cream and fill the hole in the center so that the doll stands confidently in it.
We remove the cake to relax a bit and are engaged in the manufacture of outdoor decoration cream.
If you like a rich cake, you can make an oil cream for decoration, if it’s lighter, then you can make a protein custard.
To do this, boil the syrup. Pour 6 tbsp. l with a hill of granulated sugar in a saucepan, pour lightly with water so that all the sugar is wet, boil the syrup to a temperature of 118 C.

As soon as the syrup begins to thicken a little, beat the chilled 2 proteins in a lush foam, gradually add 2 tbsp. l sugar and beat until a firm dense mass.

Quickly remove the finished syrup from the stove and pour in small portions into the protein mass, continue to beat the cut with a mixer until it cools to room temperature.

To give a lilac shade to the cream, I added thick currant jam.

Now we take a pastry bag with a carved straw and cover the cake with various patterns. The easiest way is to simply grease the cake with a thick layer of cream and smear everything with a spoon. You can also squeeze cream in the form of curls or roses.
The bust of the doll can be covered with cream or used for the manufacture of corset mastic.
We remove the cake in a cool place for impregnation, and then serve to the festive table.
