This mini box is fairly easy to repeat, and the material - ice cream sticks can be found in any store that sells ice cream. You can use this box as a piggy bank, a stand for pencils or pens, a gossip girl, or as a decoration of a mini pot for a mini flower.

Necessary tools that we need to make this little miracle.

Mini box assembly

Take the sticks. Cut off a strip of masking tape. Put the sticks in a row, as if we were making a fence. We draw strips on each side that we will saw off. We smear the gaps between the sticks with PVA glue so that the sticks stick together as a whole. Then gently cut along the line. As a result, bite a square of sticks. We make several such squares. Squares should be approximately 80 x 80 mm.

We form the walls of the box

We continue to make the walls of the box, reinforcing them with stiffeners made also of the same ice cream sticks.
The walls will vary as follows: two side walls and two front / rear walls. The front / rear walls have additional ribs. In the side walls of the stick-rib is the shorter side of the box by four thicknesses of the stick, that is, two for each side. See the photo. This is necessary for a robust drawer assembly.

Gluing a drawer

We glue our box with PVA glue, using masking tape to fix the structure.
First we glue all 4 sides.

Add the bottom roof

The bottom cover is made of sticks simply by gluing to the box, and then sawing sticking sticks.

Make a pallet

For realism, we make a drawer tray. To do this, glue three sticks and cut out three identical logs. Glue to the bottom of the box.

Making the top cover of the drawer

The box lid is made using the same technology, except that it has 4 ribs. Two are not full inside, and two equal to the length of the box outside.

Our box has an almost finished look.

Grind the edges

To remove all unnecessary burrs and update the box, let’s go through a file or fine sandpaper.

Making a piggy bank (optional)

If you decide to make a piggy bank, then use a stationery knife to make an incision between the sticks. Do not forget to take into account the thickness of the thickest coin.

Labeling (optional)

For more realism, you can make a stamp and put marks on the box with this stamp. It will be very beautiful.

For decoration, you can also dig a stain and varnish.
