In this review, the author shows a cool way to decorate a wall in a living room (in a house or apartment).
All that is needed for the work is decorative plaster or putty and a simple template.
The first step is to draw and cut out a geometric shape in the shape of a hexagon from paper.
Using this hexagon, the author cuts out the main template, which will be used when marking the wall.
We recommend reading: painting the wall with a "floral" pattern using stencils.
The main stages of work
Using a template cut from thick cardboard or chipboard, the author applies markings on the surface of the wall. You can use a pencil for this.
After all the figures are drawn, the author draws straight lines inside them. They will serve as a guide.
At the next stage, it will be necessary to stick strips of masking tape. On this, the preparation is over - you can proceed to the final stages of work.
First, the author applies a layer of decorative plaster, and then makes another textured layer. "Bumps" on the surface of the wall will need to be smoothed with a trowel or spatula.
Then you need to wait until the plaster or putty is set a little, and remove the previously pasted strips of masking tape.
More details about this method of decorative wall decoration can be found in the video on our website.
