Decorative plaster is a good alternative to wallpaper. It is more durable, not afraid of moisture and looks more expensive and solid.

In this review, the author tells how you can easily create several unusual effects with your own hands that will help to make the interior more original.

We don’t need any special devices for this. For work, prepare rubber gloves, a spatula, velor and foam rollers.

Method 1

Everything is very simple. Hand putty putty and apply it on the surface with chaotic movements.

With your palm and fingers it’s easy to create a wave-like interesting pattern. The surface should dry for 24 hours.

Now you can proceed to painting. Dark brown paint the entire wall and let it dry.

Next, pour a little varnish with a metallic effect on a flat surface and carefully roll it over the foam roller. Lightly move through the pattern, highlighting the texture.

Method 2

In this method, we will also work with our hands. Type a small amount of putty, rub between your palms and slam it against the wall.

So process the entire area. Drawing does not need to be made too frequent.

Sand the wall slightly with sandpaper and brush off the dust. Next, paint it with brown paint and highlight the texture with a roller.

Method 3

For this option, putty should be applied with a spatula evenly over the entire surface.

Then take the velor roller and roll it in putty so that it is completely filled with the composition.

Walk them along the wall in one direction, creating roughness, and then make a pull in the opposite direction.

As in the previous methods, paint the surface, wait until it dries, and walk on top with a varnish with a metallic.

You can also use not varnish, but any light paint. So simple and economical, you can update your repairs yourself.

By combining different colors, you can achieve many different decorative effects. And even a novice can do it.
