In this review, the author shows how to make a simple home-made lawnmower from unnecessary trash that is lying under your feet.
This homemade device will come in handy both on the territory of a private house and in a summer cottage.
For the manufacture of this homemade product, a stainless steel tank from a Soviet vertical loading washing machine, wheels from a baby carriage and an electric motor from a washing machine (1400 rpm, 180 W) will be required.
Also, for the manufacture of lawn mowers, pieces of plastic pipe with a diameter of 25 mm, a construction corner of 25x25 mm, a saw blade from a band saw (the author will make cutting knives from it) will be needed.
The main stages of work
From the stainless steel tank, it is necessary to cut off the lower part with the bottom, after having previously drilled holes for mounting the electric motor and under the wheel base.
At the next stage, cut off two pieces of the corner and drill holes in them. The author fastens the wheels to the corners, then we attach the wheelbase to the tank.
Next, you will need to install and secure the motor from the washing machine. The author makes two cutting knives from the saw blade and sets them on the shaft.
From plastic pipes, corners and tees, the author makes two handles that are connected to each other in the upper part by a horizontal jumper.
