Carbon dioxide cylinders, and indeed, any cylinders containing liquefied gas, must be placed vertically. However, some cylinders do not have a “skirt” at the bottom.

In this review, the author proposes to solve this problem by making a simple stand for a small cylinder with carbon dioxide of 5-10 liters.

Initially, the author wanted to use the old Christmas tree stand as a stand for the balloon. However, the pot is not suitable for the diameter of the cylinder. But the legs from the stand come in handy.

The main stages of work

The first step is to cut off a piece of strip about 3-4 mm thick (in principle, a two-millimeter strip will be enough). And then the workpiece must be bent into a ring on a pipe bender.

The edges of the strip must be cut off, leaving a distance between them of 2-3 cm. Next, you need to weld a locking lock, and for this, the author uses a bolt, two washers, a wing nut, two pieces of a square bar.

Instead of washers, you can also use ordinary nuts, and instead of pieces of a square - a piece of corner (in it you will need to make a cut in the middle).

At the next stage, three legs from the old Christmas tree stand should be welded to the clamp. Welds must be cleaned with a grinder. That, in fact, is all.
