Floor laminate is very often used for wall decoration indoors. Just the question arises: "What is better to stick it so that the panels do not fall off over time?"
In this review, the author decided to conduct an experiment: which glue would better hold the laminate. The author took three different adhesives - this is ordinary silicone sealant, mounting adhesive and liquid nails.
Please note that the pieces of laminate flooring are glued by the author to drywall. Before starting the experiment, it is necessary to fasten the bars to the segments of the laminate, so that it would be more convenient to try to tear off the "samples".
Tests: which glue is better?
We apply silicone sealant, mounting glue and liquid nails to the prepared pieces of the laminate. We leave everything for a day. After that, the author tries to tear the laminate from drywall.
Oddly enough, but all three glues did an excellent job. Tear off the laminate did not work - just a piece of drywall breaks out. So, if you decide to glue the laminate on the wall, then for this you can use any of the glue compositions presented.
However, it should be noted that silicone sealant and liquid nails are almost two times cheaper than mounting glue. Does it make sense to overpay? This is up to you.
