The first step in the handle of the rivet gun will be to drill a through hole for the diameter of the stud. In the second handle of the riveter with the help of a dremel, the master makes a slot of a rectangular shape.
The main stages of work
Next, you need to cut a small plate from a piece of metal and round the edges. Then you need to drill two holes in it, and cut the thread in them with a tap. You will also need to cut a piece of the stud and choose a suitable screw diameter.
A cap nut is screwed onto one end of the stud and a washer is put on. Then the pin must be inserted into the hole drilled in the handle of the rivet gun. The “tail” of the stud is inserted into the slot in the second handle.
After that, a nut with a washer and a metal plate into which a screw is screwed is screwed onto the stud. At the end of the stud you need to screw two more ordinary nuts.
At the last stage, a head with a shank for a screwdriver chuck is put on the nuts, and you can test a homemade device in operation.
