If you have old timing belts lying around in your garage, do not throw it away - they will make a simple and convenient “basket” for carrying firewood. Such homemade work is useful to those who have a private house or cottage, which are heated by a wood stove.
To make such a "basket" is very simple. For this, in addition to timing belts, you will need two planks of wood, a piece of wire and self-tapping screws.
First of all, it is necessary to cut four timing belts and make two of them long. To fasten them together, the master uses a wire. It is advisable to make at least three "seams".
The process of making a "basket" for carrying firewood
At the next stage, it is necessary to saw off two wooden planks of the same length and width. They will be used as basket handles. Instead of wooden planks, you can also take aluminum round tubes.
If you use wooden planks, then they will need to be rounded and sanded so that they lie comfortably in your hand.
All that remains is to fasten the timing belts to the prepared wooden planks. The master uses self-tapping screws with a press washer for this.
