A homemade wooden stand with built-in magnetic holders is a great idea for storing screwdrivers or other hand tools. The wooden stand is simple in design and compact in size, and therefore does not take up very much space on the desktop.

To make a homemade stand for screwdrivers, you will need two planks with a thickness of about 12 mm with dimensions - 140x60 mm and 120x40 mm. Also, two wooden planks of 150x20 mm with a thickness of about 5-6 mm will be required. Instead of planks of wood, you can use ordinary plywood or OSB.

Neodymium magnets are used as magnetic holders for screwdrivers. You can order them online without any problems. Also, neodymium magnets can be removed from non-working HDD (hard drives) of the computer.

The main stages of work

First of all, with the help of a ruler and a pencil, we do the marking, after which we cut out four recesses (landing "nests") for screwdrivers. Depth is about 3-4 mm. In these depressions, separately we make small "holes" for neodymium magnets, and glue them to superglue.

Then we drill three additional holes for screwdrivers in this plank. The next step is to assemble a makeshift stand. To do this, connect the plank with magnets to the base using vertical posts.

To glue the stand parts together, you can use both PVA carpentry glue and quick-drying glue. After gluing, the surface of the product must be treated with sandpaper.
