From scraps of metal, you can make your own original decorative elements in the form of a stand for stationery and paper. Such handmade products will look great on your desktop. They can also be used to decorate the interior of the house.
The main material for homemade work are sheet metal scraps, which can be found in almost every garage, as well as in the home workshop. The thickness of the metal is about 1-2 mm (more and not needed).
First of all, we cut out a rectangular blank from sheet metal (approximately 15x20 mm). Then we make the markup, and cut off the unnecessary pieces along the edges. Next, using a grinder with a cutting disc, you need to make cuts around the perimeter of the rectangle.
The main stages of work
We clamp the sheet metal blank in a vice and bend it into a box. The gaps obtained in the corners of the box are welded by electric arc or semi-automatic welding. Then we give it the desired shape with the help of a grinder. On top of the contour of the box we weld a steel wire.
At the next stage, we make the cart handles from a wire of the same diameter (or another one), and then we also weld the wheel. This decorative element is perfect for storing small pieces of paper.
Then from sheet metal we make an original stand for stationery: pencils, pens, highlighters, etc. The detailed process of manufacturing decorative elements from metal on the desktop, see the video on the site.
