Having altered the gas trimmer a bit, you can make a delimber convenient to use, which is useful in any country or house area. For this homemade product you will need a gas trimmer reducer, an asterisk and a 11.5-inch (29-30 cm) tire.
The drive sprocket is installed using standard benz trimmer parts. Just instead of the factory disk with fishing line, the sprocket itself is installed and is attracted by its own nut. The thread is reverse, so there will be no spontaneous unscrewing.
You will also need to make an adapter plate for mounting the tire. The distance between the washer and the body of the trimmer gearbox is 5 mm, so we will make a plate of metal 4 mm to leave a gap.
Cutter manufacturing process
First you need to mark the width of the bracket, which should be equal to the width of the housing of the gas trimmer gearbox - 55 mm. Next, cut the workpiece using angle grinder. You can make a large hole in the metal plate under the protrusion in the gearbox using a metal crown.
If there is no crown at hand, you can make such a hole with the "old fashioned method" - drill a lot of small holes around the entire circumference, and then process it with a file. Next, we clamp the part in a vice or press it to the table with a clamp, then we mark and drill holes for fastening.
To slightly raise the tire, we use a piece of steel square 20x20 mm. We weld it exactly in the middle of the bracket. Then it remains only to make a hole for mounting the tire itself.
