Today on the Internet you can find many ideas for alternative applications of the angle grinder. One of such interesting ideas, which is very easy to put into practice, is the "transformation" of an ordinary grinder into a manual milling machine.
Preparatory work
To make this device you will need two pieces of a square profile pipe 7 cm long, as well as one long segment 27-28 cm long. Then you will need to cut two pieces of a steel plate 30 mm wide and 7 cm long. In them, you need to drill holes with one side.
After this, the plates will need to be welded perpendicular to the sections of the profile pipe, the length of which is 7 cm. In the pipes themselves, it will be necessary to drill holes in the center, then weld a nut to them and tighten a bolt of a suitable diameter.
Next, from a steel sheet, it is necessary to cut a rectangular piece with dimensions of 12x22 cm. This will be the working surface. At the edges of the sheet, you need to weld the vertical posts from the profile pipe, and on the side - a handle from a round metal bar. Clean all welding spots with a grinder.
Construction assembly process
The sections of profile pipes with plates welded to them must be fixed on the grinder body. Then it is necessary to install this design on the uprights, fixing it with bolts. An adapter sleeve is installed to the chuck from the electric drill, which is then connected directly to the shaft of the angle grinder.
Now, having picked up a drill of a suitable size and shape, it is possible to mill various ornaments and patterns on a wooden surface. A detailed assembly process for this design is shown in the video.
