The usual columns of plastic, plywood or chipboard will not surprise anyone. But what if the soul requires something original and non-standard? In this case, you can make columns of glass whiskey bottles.
The idea is really very unusual - you immediately feel the unconventional approach. Therefore, there is no doubt that the result will be appropriate, does not disappoint. Bottles are selected based on the size of the speakers. In this case, the author uses a container of 3 liters.
The first thing to do in the bottle is to drill a large hole under the speaker. And for this, the master uses a diamond crown. It is necessary to draw water into the whiskey bottle, and immediately before drilling - place it in a container of water.
In this case, the likelihood that the glass will crack will be minimal. And so that the crown does not crawl along the surface, the master uses a home-made template (it can be made from plywood or a piece of plastic).
The main stages of work
The edges of the drilled hole will need to be treated with fine sandpaper - a similar operation is performed with the second bottle.
Then, around the hole, the master glues strips of masking tape, installs the speaker and marks the holes for the mounting screws. In this case, drilling is performed with a drill on glass and ceramics.
At the last stage of work, it remains only to drill two holes in each bottle for the installation of connectors, and to install the main elements.
