When it is necessary to get a bearing out of a hole plugged on one side, a conventional puller cannot do here. For these purposes, you can make a homemade tool, the design of which allows you to easily and without much effort to extrude bearings of different diameters from blind holes. You can make such a device from a bolt or stud M12 with a nut.

The main stages of work

We clamp the M12 bolt in the lathe chuck and grind the cap to a diameter of 10 mm, and part of the stud to 8-9 mm - as a result, you should get a small side that is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the bearing. In the body of the bolt, we drill a through hole, after which we use a grinder to saw the hairpin along in half.

Then we screw the nut onto the bolt, and between its two halves we insert a piece of strip or plate cut from the profile pipe. In the strip, you need to drill a hole of the same diameter as in the body of the bolt. Now the homemade tool for pressing out the bearings is ready to use.

How to work with a tool

The first step is to install the plate inside the bolt so that it protrudes beyond the side. Then we put a steel cap on the stud, insert the tool inside the bearing and hand tighten the cap with a nut.

Next, we put an open-end wrench on this nut, and insert a screwdriver or a metal pin into the hole drilled in the bolt, and begin to turn it clockwise until the bearing pops out of its “socket”. Write in the comments below the video what you think about this tool.
